Hello there, everybody!
I know, I promised I’d write about our african adventures next but I still haven’t gone through all the pictures. That’s why I’m squeezing a short little post about our most recent day trip to precious Prague in that took place just last weekend. Continue reading “Prague in 10 Hours”
We took the metro to Montmartre, the 430 ft hill in Paris where many artists – some as famous as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, and Vincent van Gogh – had studios during the Belle Époque.
From up here the Sacré-Coeur overlooks the city. We climbed the stairs to visit the Roman Catholic church and enjoy the view. Continue reading “Montmartre”
Bonjour mesdames et messieurs!
When my friend from Texas visited me in Germany, we just HAD to take her to Paris. After all, it’s “only” a 7-hour-drive. Quite a long drive for us Europeans, I suppose. In Texas, these kinds of distances are pretty common though.
Anyways, we stayed in a small little hotel named Hotels de l’Avre. We had two rooms (4 people) for €59,00/night each but I think we got a little discount. For €10,00 more the breakfast was included. Not bad for Paris. Not bad at all. Especially because the hotel is located very centrally in downtown Paris, about a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
More information and pictures can be taken from their website. Continue reading “Downtown Paris”

San Antonio is a charming city with spanish, mexican, anglo-american and german influences – yeppp, german!! (Exciting for me as a German girl) Continue reading “San Antonio”
In my last post, I told you all about the Fort Worth Stockyards in the National Historic District. But there’s so much more to Fort Worth than just Cowboys’n boots’n hats! Continue reading “Downtown Fort Worth”
